Holiday Downtown Decor
This photo shows 8th & Market at Philadelphia...the main entrance to The Gallery shopping mall. Years ago the Gallery was anchored by major big name department stores: Gimbels and Strawbridge & Clothier. Those stores are gone now.

Fred Shero: A Great Coach Enters The Hockey Hall of Fame
I had Flyers season seats in the early 70s and I was there when the Flyers won their first Stanley Cup...game 6, in 1974. Flyer's coach Fred Shero was great. it's about time that he finally makes the Hockey Hall of Fame some 23 years after he died.

There is currently a delightful display of gingerbread houses at Liberty Place in Philadelphia. The edible models are of historic homes located in Fairmount Park.

New Bridge Lighting
Afternoon walks are now early evening walks with the time change. The city has installed new LED lighting on two of the Schuylkill River bridges we walk by.
French Restaurant Dinner With A Friend
One of Dan's favorite restaurants in Philadelphia is Bistrot La Minette, a French restaurant in east center city. For our latest visit last month we were joined by our friend Mark Sandberg.
