What a great morning...gay pride weekend and marriage equality in New York State. It doesn't get much better than this. Watching the debate last night and witnessing the courage of great men of principle including Republican Senators Saland and Grisanti, was incredibly emotionally powerful and uplifting. While openly gay Senator Tom Duane was magnanimous - "There are no villains, only heroes" he said - we will not forget those who fought for us, most notably Governor Cuomo and Mayor Bloomberg, as well as those who failed us like President Obama. So today we celebrate as the battle for full equality for GLBT people continues. It's a great day in New York state and in America!
