A Favorite Japanese Restaurant On Long Island

Unlike most of our friends who live on Fire Island, Dan and I enjoy visiting restaurants on Long Island. One of our favorites is "Tai-Show," a Japanese restaurant in nearby Oakdale, which is just across the bay from Cherry Grove. Our good friend Ed, who is visiting the Grove this week, took us to dinner to celebrate our anniversary on Wednesday. Tai-Show boasts a lovely indoor dining area with a large salt water aquarium as well as a bank of Tatami rooms for private shoes-off Japanese style dining. We always have a good time, especially while enjoying the tasty food and the premium sake that is served.

Liberty Place In Philadelphia

Here's another look at the inside mini-mall at Liberty Place in downtown Philadelphia. The food court is very large and boasts a great variety of eateries including a couple of Japanese food stands. I like the one that specializes in sushi. My usual lunch is a "Dragon Roll," a tasty concoction made with cooked eel and avocado.
