Progressives To Obama: Don't Move Right

Many alarmed progressives are signing an open letter to Barak Obama in an attempt to get him to stay faithful to the progressive message that they feel got him nominated:

"Since your historic victory in the primary, there have been troubling
signs that you are moving away from the core commitments shared by many who have
supported your campaign, toward a more cautious and centrist stance--including,
most notably, your vote for the FISA legislation granting telecom companies
immunity from prosecution for illegal wiretapping, which angered and dismayed so
many of your supporters. "

You can read the whole letter and sign on at The Nation. Will he listen?

If he selects as his running mate Virginia Governor Keane, who is anti-abortion, that will not be a good sign.
