Adventures In Paradise

St. Barthelemy, March 08, 2018 Unfortunately our vacation has not been without problems. The local weather has been troublesome with high winds causing pounding high surf. An underground cable carrying internet and telephone has been damaged, and the tap water supply interrupted since last weekend. Stores are not getting shipments of fresh food and our US credit and debit cards do not work in most places. So we are trying to make do by getting cash advances from our rental agency and using water from our pool to flush toilets and rinse dishes. We are drinking bottled water. Some vacation in paradise, eh? Oh well. It is sunny and warm and beautiful here, and we are having a relatively nice time. I am doing some scuba diving in spite of the choppy seas. I can use the working internet connection at our rental agency.
