Saturday was a day spent on board our riverboat cruising past beautiful scenic attractions. At 8:00 AM the highlight was the "Iron Gates" gorge, which lies between Serbia and Romania. A dam after the gorge means that ships must go through two locks. This part of the lower Danube was also extremely beautiful. Afternoon entertainments included a Balkan lunch buffet, a quiz, and a Tea Dance on the sun deck, all before cocktails and dinner. Dan managed to do three drawings of the scenery, and Jim enjoyed time on the sun deck. - Dan
