Mykonos, August 25, 2018

Saturday morning we used a tender service to go ashore from the Celebrity "Reflection" to Chora, the main town on Mykonos. From there a bus transfer drove us to Elia beach. An abbreviated lunch (due to poor service at a nice restaurant overwhelmed by too many tourists) at the Taverna was followed by some time swimming in the warm, clear water. In the evening we returned to picturesque Chora, with its iconic whitewashed homes, shops, and churches. As we walked the small, winding paths through the town, we encountered several of the many cats that populate the town. We enjoyed a cocktail hour at the Kastro Bar and Restaurant, a favorite lounge in the "Little Venice" section of Chora. It's a popular place to enjoy sunsets on Mykonos. Dinner followed at Nikos Restaurant, where we enjoyed sea urchin salad, a specialty that is not easy to find on menus anywhere. Sunday we'll be re-visiting Santorini, another beautiful Greek Island.
