I welcome Mr. Nader's entry into the presidential race. However, in the past he has been reluctant to forcefully stake out a progressive position on gay rights. This time around, I wonder if Mr. Nader will embrace full marriage equality for all citizens including gays and lesbians? Will he pledge to end "Don't Ask; Don't Tell," which has resulted in the discharge of thousands of patriotic Americans from the military in a time of war, their only crime being their sexual orientation? A truly progressive campaign cannot ignore the issue of social justice for America's gay and lesbian citizens.
