MSNBC at 7 Pm tonight: General Patraeus can't answer the fundamental question of whether the war in Iraq is making America safer. Matthews is convinced (and says so on national network TV) that what we're seeing this week is a ruse designed to sell a continuation of the war to the American people without having "Dubwya" doing the selling. Unfortunately, the gambit is working. How sad.
