End of season is a time to do maintenance on "Liberty Bell," our Fire Island beach house. The sun and salt take a toll on the woodwork. A few days spent scraping and repainting are necessary to prepare the house for winter.
Of course. some residents supervise, or simply rest, while the work goes on.
